A Rumford, Maine native, John Beliveau’s interest in the stock market began as a teenager, when he would read the stock reports in the daily newspaper.
Today, despite his decades of experience and leadership position in the firm, he remains a student of the industry – continuously looking for ways to evolve and improve, both as an individual and as a company.
At Payson, no two days are the same for John. As Chair of the Client Services Group, which includes the Financial Planning and Client Relationship Management Groups, he not only works closely with families and individuals, but also is responsible for many of the internal systems, initiatives, and processes that make the HM Payson client experience what it is. And as a Managing Director, John works with other board members on matters of governance and strategic planning.
When he’s not working, John spends a lot of time out in the community volunteering with his favorite nonprofits; and recently, his family started a meal delivery program to help students and families in the Rumford area.
On the weekend, you’ll likely find him outdoors – most likely fly fishing, camping, or cross-country skiing. He’s also an avid squash player and chair of the Portland Community Squash board. John and his wife live in Falmouth and have two grown sons.
