A Maine native, Barbara Cough grew up in Bar Harbor; and after earning her Advance Study Certificate in Financial Planning from Merrimack College and graduating from Husson University, she decided to put down roots and build her career in Portland.
Barbara has always worked in the financial world, and her roles over the years have given her a wealth of expertise in investment management, portfolio management, risk management, banking, securities, and business relationship management. She joined HM Payson in early 2021 for its exceptional team and uniquely collaborative approach.
As a Relationship Administrator, Barbara leverages her extensive financial and client service background to ensure the clients she works with have everything they need each day. She especially enjoys helping clients with information technology needs and challenges.
Off the Clock
Barbara lives in Portland with her wife. They enjoy spending time with their two grown children who are currently attending college.
