Andy Lumb

A native New Yorker, Andy Lumb started his financial services career in Boston, where he met his soon-to-be wife – an original Mainer – and they couldn’t think of a better place than her hometown to put down roots. Since making the move, he has never regretted making Portland home.

Throughout his wide-ranging career in the financial services industry, Andy has accumulated extensive investment and private equity experience. He’s worked in several specialized roles at organizations including MainePERS and Transamerica Retirement Solutions, , joining HM Payson in mid 2021 for its proven reputation and the opportunity to help grow the firm’s Private Equity Group.

Andy brings a deep understanding of the private equity landscape to the Payson team, including the many nuances, complexities, and relationships involved. As a Private Equity Associate, Andy works directly with clients to help them understand the asset class, how it differs from stocks and bonds as well as the opportunity it presents to grow a portfolio.
