PORTLAND, Maine, — H.M. Payson, an independent investment advisory firm and registered Maine trust company, is pleased to announce the addition of three professionals to their Trust Services, Research, and Portfolio Management teams.

Michelle Santiago joins the firm as a Trust Officer.  She previously worked as an attorney concentrating in estate planning, estate and trust administration and real estate.  Michelle also served as a Congressional Intern with Maine Senator Susan Collins.  She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maine.  Michelle serves as a development committee member with the Alzheimer’s Association and also holds memberships with the Maine Bar, the U.S. District Court of Maine, the Maine Estate Planning Council and the Education Committee for the Elder Law Section of the Maine Bar Association.

Ben Michaud joins the firm as a Research Analyst responsible for covering primarily the energy and materials sectors, and providing additional credit analysis in the fixed income area. Prior to joining H.M. Payson, Ben worked as a credit analyst for The Bank of Maine.  Ben received a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration with a minor in Finance from Cedarville University and recently completed the CFA program.

Tim Griffin has been with the firm since 2007 and has been promoted to a Portfolio Manager.  Prior to joining H.M. Payson he worked as a mutual fund accountant for Citigroup.  Tim received a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Economics and an MBA from the University of Southern Maine.
